Orange Garden Hostel

The beds are soft and comfortable, and the room was clean and hygienic. The bathroom is huge, with hot water readily available. Each morning the owner made a delicious breakfast platter with fresh soy milk and fruit picked from the yard. The fruit trees they planted give the grounds a quiet, rustic feel, and the owners were incredibly friendly. I'd come back for sure.

I'm back here today, November 28th, simply because I like staying here. Mr. Zhao had a four-person room available and kindly offered to move me there, with no conditions. I'd recommend Orange Garden Residence to friends visiting Hualien. It's clean, quiet, and welcoming, and you can sleep well here. The location is well placed for the main attractions, though it's a bit far from the city center and inconvenient without a car. There's a large courtyard, the rooms are very clean, the rooftop has a panoramic view, and the friendly couple keep things quiet even around 7 or 8 pm. The bed is comfortable too. The only small downsides are no refrigerator in the room, though you can have ice sent to the kitchen, and there may not be Wi-Fi. I didn't ask the owners about that.

A lovely place to unwind, with pretty surroundings and very clean rooms. The owners are friendly, and the owner's wife made a generous, delicious breakfast. Great value. I'd choose it again next time. Fantastic!

The owner was super friendly, and breakfast was generous and tasty. The place was clean, attractive, and comfortable, with a homey feel. It's about a 10-minute drive from Hualien city, but otherwise everything was perfect. Thumbs up!
