If you're traveling by car, I recommend this place. There's parking right by the entrance, and someone checked with me at check-in to make sure the air conditioning, TV, and hot water were all working. The towels were quite clean. It's a bit of a distance from the train station, though. The air conditioning broke during the night and couldn't be fixed right away, but even with the place fully booked, they helped me find somewhere else to stay.

For a weekday stay, the price was reasonable, and checking out at noon was convenient. The helper was polite and helpful. The room itself felt old and needed some updates: there were cracks in the walls, and the small sofa had such an old-looking cover that I didn't feel comfortable sitting on it. The towels also smelled really bad.

The rooms are roomy, each with a balcony and a view of the mountains. There are two rooms on each floor, with no connection between them. Friday nights cost less than 1,000 yuan per night, which feels like very good value. The main drawback is that sound carries a little.

We felt comfortable with the room's layout, cleanliness, and amenities, and the peaceful setting was a nice change, even though there aren't convenience stores close by. Having a balcony in every room made it feel relaxing and a little removed from everything. After we checked out on February 24th, we realized we'd left a hoodie at the B&B. The owners kindly sent it to us from Kaohsiung. That was so thoughtful, thank you! 😍 I'd happily stay again if I get the chance to visit Yilan.
