Brookburg

We spent a warm spring stay here with family, and the garden was full of colorful flowers and plants. There were little surprises tucked into every corner, a lovely reflection of the owner's care and creativity. The whole property felt green, warm, and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, too. With books in both the living room and bedrooms, the place has a peaceful, bookish feel that's easy to relax in.

Sharing one comforter between two people at night didn't feel like enough, so an extra one would be welcome. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the latex pillows supported us well. In the attic room, the two Hitachi air conditioners were installed one above the other, which was thoughtful. Breakfast croissants were soft, fragrant, and delicious; the owner makes them by hand with imported flour. The lettuce was hydroponic and washed with filtered water, and the owner's recommended jujube tea was lovely and warm. The garden was lush and beautiful, a relaxing place for a walk after breakfast. The building took more than four years to complete and has been open for just over a year. The spacious courtyard and the care put into everything, from breakfast to the rooms, show how much the owner wants guests to have a good experience and make happy memories. I also enjoyed the tea bags in the room, and appreciated the complimentary honey black tea.

I only got around to writing down my travel memories today, but I wanted to recommend this B&B in Brookwood. The owner, who loves Europe and often drives through the countryside there, designed the layout himself and spent four years building the place. The interiors are comfortable and thoughtfully done, and he planted different flowers and greenery for each season. He also kindly showed us around the area, helped take our photos, and offered us drinks when we were leaving. I'd definitely visit again.

The couple who own the guesthouse have traveled widely in Europe and spent four years building it themselves. The result has a beautiful, traditional German style that feels personal rather than copied. They offer thoughtful afternoon tea and breakfast, with courtyard views from the restaurant. The bald cypress and golden maple forest is lovely, and you can see snow-capped mountains from the courtyard. There were lots of black mosquitoes, but mosquito repellent was provided. Service was first-class, and the owner personally showed guests around. When I had trouble getting a taxi one time, he even offered to pick me up himself. I was told many Yilan taxi drivers use the taxi app, so it may help to use that. I was very satisfied with my stay and recommend the place.
