LIVIN Hotel

We were unsure after reading the reviews, but ended up having a great stay. We arrived around 3:30, and the owner helped us with both check-in and checkout. There's free parking, nice views, and hot spring water in every room. A very nice hotel and definitely worth it.

The staff were friendly, the location was alright, and at least there's a 7-Eleven nearby. I personally found the bed and comforter okay, but the rest of the stay was frustrating. For NT$15,840 for three days and two nights over Lunar New Year, booked through the official website, I expected more. There was no wardrobe, no hangers, and no hooks, so our things piled up on a bench. The towel rack was over 175cm high, and the bathroom had almost nowhere to put things. The bedside table was tiny. If you bought food, where were you supposed to put your clothes and luggage, on the bed or floor? Pulling back the covers, I found hair. There was dust everywhere by the window, and I could hear the neighbor flushing and opening and closing their door very clearly. The soundproofing needs work. The emergency exit light was a mess too, with what looked like exposed wires. Is it enough that it lights up? I thought staying somewhere high-tech would be a great experience, but... Looking back at the Google reviews, most complaints were about hooks and dated from six months earlier. They all said they'd pass it on to the team and thanked people for letting them know. That's a great answer, repeated for over half a year... Thank you for your feedback!

The water coming from the bathroom shower was yellow and had impurities in it. The hotel said they'd turn on some kind of purification system and asked me to let the water run. I did that for at least 30-40 minutes, but when I checked again it was still the same. I was shocked; it wasn't suitable for a shower or bath at all. The water quality was clearly abnormal and made me question the safety of the stay. Clean, safe water is the hotel's responsibility. I came to relax, not to flush and clean their pipes.

I came to Jiaoxi for the hot springs in the cold weather, but when I got back late that night, the hot spring water in my room looked murky and had unidentified particles floating in it. As the photos show, I couldn't take a bath or even shower comfortably. It was already past midnight, so nothing could be done right away. I contacted the hotel the following day. Staff said they'd handle it, but more than two weeks have passed and I still haven't had a clear response. I understand weather or geological factors may affect hot spring water, but I hope the hotel improves how it manages water quality and communicates with guests, and deals with problems sooner. The stay didn't meet my expectations. I hope they take this seriously and improve their service.
