Peace Area Hot Spring Hotel

Tina deserves a special mention for welcoming us so warmly. The staff were friendly and the service was superb. We arrived an hour before check-in, left our luggage, and went into town; when one room still wasn't ready at check-in, we went to the available room, and the attendants brought the other room's key card along with our bags. They also showed us around the swimming pool and hot spring pools. We loved the mountain view and secluded feel. This ended up being our favorite hotel on our Taiwan trip, and my daughter's favorite of all the hotels we've stayed at so far. I thought the kids might not be that interested because the main activity seemed to be the hot springs and the hotel had an adult feel, but they had a blast in the hot spring tub in the room.

Tina made our morning even better. She'd served us at HotPot the night before and was just as amazing at breakfast. The meal was beyond what I expected, with a fresh egg pancake station, turnip cake, and eggs. One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Taiwan.

The kids had a great time in the pool and hot springs, and the front desk staff were really friendly. Drinks in the fridge are free, and there's complimentary dessert on the first floor each day from 7-9 pm. Breakfast runs for a long time, so it can work as breakfast or brunch. I'd have given five stars if all the workers had been as nice as the front desk.

Tina welcomed us warmly when we checked in today and was kind and attentive at both check-in and mealtime. Her enthusiastic service was five-star. The hotel is comfortable overall, and the facilities are great.
