Zhu Shan Grandee B&B

The owner said this distinctive guesthouse is in a house more than 400 years old. The rooms are a little small, but the shared spaces are split into four areas, each with a classic, clean, comfortable feel. I found them great for relaxing and unwinding. They also provide toast, drinks, and coffee for free, a thoughtful touch. A nice place to recharge.

We were welcomed so warmly by the owner and his lovely wife. They even helped us buy proper Cantonese congee and Kinmen sorghum sausages at the market. The guesthouse has a cozy, charming feel with classic Chinese style, and the space was comfortable and clean. A family stay full of lovely memories!

My first B&B stay was at Zhushan Residence in Zhushan Village, and the place was so clean, peaceful, and elegant. They had a seriously powerful hair dryer, plus plenty of fried dough twists and drinks. I'd definitely recommend it.

The owner even picked us up from and took us back to the airport, which meant a lot to us. Since our flight was late, she kindly let us check out at noon so we could get some more rest. We stayed in the attic four-person room with two beds while traveling with my mother. The antique decor and common areas were lovely, and the dining area had all kinds of small appliances. There was free toast and drinks in the fridge too, handy for travelers who get hungry in the middle of the night.
