It was peaceful around the hotel, and the bed was really comfortable.

The heater makes too much noise to sleep through. I wouldn't stay here in winter.

The one catch is the outlets are straight plugs, so international travelers should bring an adapter. Otherwise, I had a very pleasant night. The sheets, blankets, bathroom, and the rest of the hostel were impressively clean, nearly like new. I was initially unsure because the review photos were years old and wanted to inspect the place before deciding, but a reservation was required. I booked online and then checked myself in. There were shoe cabinets, lockers, and all the basic facilities; I only needed the balcony to dry my clothes. The owner clearly looks after the place. I only spoke with them through social media, and they were friendly. I didn't see another guest, probably because it was the off-season, and wondered if I was alone there that night. That had never happened to me in years of staying in hostels. It's relatively affordable for Kinmen, and convenient if you're mostly staying around Jinhu. I'd happily recommend it as a comfortable place to stay. I also realized the rating only worked after I added a photo. Most comments are in Traditional Chinese, so I'm one of the few writing in Simplified Chinese 😆

My first backpackers' hostel stay was easy and comfortable. It was a tidy, clean room with four beds and convenient self-service. Phone reception wasn't great, though WiFi was available.
