It’s a quiet, peaceful place, and I liked my stay enough to want to come back. The landlady was friendly, and the clean, comfortable rooms had a water dispenser and tea bags. She was always glad to answer questions about food or attractions, including some local hidden gems. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the outside of the mountains, past Taihu Lake. The roads are in good condition with little traffic, so they’re great for jogging.

It’s easy to get to the city center, and the location stays quiet even though it’s in a busy area. The owners are very nice and always greet you warmly.
