Before I booked, the owner’s behavior already seemed odd to me. She kept trying to get me to add more rooms, then gave answers that felt irrelevant or made little sense, often going in circles. Her replies about availability were vague, along the lines of rooms being available or not. When I finally asked directly whether any rooms were actually available, she didn’t know. The way she handled things made me hesitant to rent from her.

The guesthouse is surrounded by family-run restaurants, convenience stores, and other useful amenities. Inside, the room layout feels warm and homey without being cramped, and the landlady is incredibly friendly. It’ll be my first choice next time I stay at a guesthouse in Kinmen. I’m from Kinmen, but I study and work in Taiwan. I booked this guesthouse at the last minute while I was in town to run errands. The owner was welcoming and chatty, and the place was spotlessly clean. At night, looking out from the balcony toward the distant settlements felt like a really unique experience. It’s good value for money, and I highly recommend it to backpackers.

The landlady was welcoming and funny, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It’s just ten minutes from the busy city center. I’ll definitely come back next time!
