All-Ur Boutique Motel KaoHsiung Branch

The breakfast was great, and hotels that include breakfast usually cost much more. My room didn't smell of smoke. All-ur has taken over the branding, and the setup is unusual because you can drive right up to your room. The taxi driver was kind enough to take us through check-in and to the room. I'd read the reviews and felt skeptical, but was pleasantly surprised: check-in was quick and easy, the staff were pleasant and helpful, and the room was huge and decent. The built-in tub was a little old, but still crazy good value for the price. The sound system and shower were great too. For a motel hotel, it's really not bad. Give it a try.

This motel is known in English as All-Ur Boutique Motel-Kao Hsiung Branch. I chose it on purpose to experience a lover's motel. The room was spacious and fairly clean, and I got one without a smoke smell despite the mixed reviews mentioning strong cigarette odors. It had an in-room sauna and jacuzzi. There are lots of places to eat within about 600-700 meters, and a wet market with plenty of food in that area. Getting around is less convenient without a car, since the nearest MRT station is about a 15-minute walk.

We found an ant in the bed. The biggest room is good, but sometimes there was a noisy sound from outside and we couldn't tell what it was. It sounded like something being fixed. Maybe the staff should consider doing repairs when guests aren't sleeping, or when no one is staying nearby.

The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good, especially the garlic bread. But we found three hairs in the bathtub that clearly weren’t ours, and there were stains on the beach chair sheet that looked like period stains and wouldn’t wash out. It was hard to find an outlet in the room, and we had mosquitoes too.
