I was in town on a business trip and stayed at a nearby hotel. The bed made my skin itchy, so I couldn’t sleep properly. There was also a persistent, unpleasant smell, or something like it, that woke me in the middle of the night and kept me from sleeping. The towels and sheets weren’t stained, but they looked worn. Whether staying for a short time or longer, I came away with a bad experience.

When I go home, I usually stay at the family-run accommodation nearest my house, where I can borrow bicycles for free. This time I tried Cotton Candy Hotel instead, and it was better value for me. The room was very large with a small refrigerator, and I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious bathroom with a separate shower and toilet. I also liked the clothes rack. Most useful of all, there were power outlets on both sides of the bed, which was handy since we’re always using gadgets and need to charge them often.
