The accommodation was clean and comfortable, but what I liked most was the people. Saori-san (the owner’s Japanese name) was incredibly kind and ready to help. I was lucky enough to hear her daughter play piano, which really touched me. I’d love to come back if I get the chance :)

Now I see why this hostel gets such high ratings. The woman who runs it is great, and I got to practice Chinese with her, though she speaks English as well. The rooms are comfortable and have plenty of outlets. They provide a laundry area, hair dryers, soap, and shampoo, but no towels, so bring your own. It’s very conveniently located by Lotus Lake, with beautiful temples all around.

It’s cheap and good value, and I really love this place. The service is especially good, and the owner Anty is kind and generous. She speaks English, so you can use it if you don’t know Chinese.

There’s free self-service laundry and unlimited hot and cold drinking water. The hostess is wonderful, and Lotus Pond, with more than 10 amazing temples, is within walking distance.
