Hotel Nikko Kaohsiung

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location worked well for us: about five minutes on foot to the MRT and roughly 15 to the light rail. We got a very good midweek rate and had a fantastic stay. Our room was spacious and modern, with a view of the harbour. The pool was large enough for proper swimming, and both the pool and sauna areas were clean and roomy. Just note that the sauna and bath areas are separate for men and women and require nudity, which may not suit everyone. We tried the top-floor cocktail bar on our first night, but heavy rain meant the outdoor area was closed. It looked like a nice place for a drink with a view, though quite expensive as expected.

The hotel is new, very clean, and has a nice interior, good breakfast, and a great spa and sauna. The room was okay, but the ceiling felt very low and the bed was too firm. Most staff came across as cold, with no smile and a robotic way of speaking, especially at the spa and sauna. The woman making juice and the one cooking eggs at breakfast were lovely, serving guests with warm smiles. That’s the kind of staff a five-star hotel like Nikko Hotel should have.

Hotel Nikko’s service was top-notch: everyone was polite, welcoming, and accommodating with my requests before and after the stay. The rooms are new, cozy, and very comfortable, and the spa facilities are great, though the sauna cabin was quite small. Across the street are 7-11 and Family Mart, and there’s a shopping mall nearby with Eslite, Muji, and Theatre, plus an MRT station with direct access to HSR Kaoshiung. I’d definitely stay here again.

I found the room spacious, comfortable, and elegantly designed, which made the stay relaxing. The service was professional, patient, and thoughtful throughout. Staff from the front desk to housekeeping and the restaurant were polite, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Hotel Nikko’s high standards and signature hospitality really come through. I’ll stay here again on my next Kaohsiung visit.
