Patti made us feel very welcome, and check-in was smooth. I was delighted to get an upgrade to a Junior Suite, with a bottle of red wine and cookies as a welcome gift. The suite wasn’t huge, but the layout was clever and the high-tech features made it comfortable. The EVERPURE drinking water faucet in the bathroom was a great touch, and the BOSE SoundBar sounded good. I also found the indoor pool pristine and peaceful, with few people around during my visit. We had drinks at WARA one evening, and Robert’s genuine, enthusiastic introduction to the cocktail menu made our night. His dedication to his craft really came through. At checkout, Guest Service Agent Devina Cendra was efficient and sincerely interested in how my stay had gone, and wrapped everything up smoothly. The gym is a little small, and I’d have liked more variety at breakfast, but those were minor points in an otherwise very satisfying stay at InterContinental Kaohsiung. I’m already looking forward to InterContinental Taipei opening.

The location worked well for both transit and shopping: FE21 Mega shopping mall is just across the way, and the airport is around a 20-minute cab ride. The room was beautiful and spacious, and there was plenty of closet space for the luggage and clothes of a family of four. The bathroom stood out, with dual sinks, a separate shower, and a bathtub beside a big window. Opening the motorized curtain to a lovely view while soaking in the hot tub was a memorable way to wake up. Breakfast was flexible too. We could buy it a day ahead and keep the discount, so we weren’t tied to eating at the hotel and could try local places. When we did eat there, the buffet had a wide choice of Asian and Western food for everyone in the family. I stayed at Intercontinental Kaohsiung in October 2025 and had a really pleasant time. The design, useful amenities, flexible breakfast, and location made it a wonderful stay, especially for families or anyone wanting space and luxury. I highly recommend it.

The room had so many nice details, from the SMEG kettle and Nespresso machine to the automated features, including the blackout curtains. The towels were huge and fluffy, and I loved the pool and locker room/sauna. The cocktails and food at WARA were delicious too. It was my first time at an Intercontinental hotel, and the service and whole experience were fabulous. I can’t wait to return.

Bright, modern rooms with plenty of luxury amenities, and the location is very convenient for both the red MRT and green light stations. The hotel is one of the most noticeable high rises around and makes a clear landmark. Service was excellent, especially from Jabica at the front desk and Vivian, the concierge. Both were lovely, attentive, and helpful, and Vivian’s recommendations were spot on. Highly recommend.

The bright, pleasant dining area and varied, exquisite breakfast were a lovely part of our long weekend. We also enjoyed the light dinner options, which were prepared with care. With late checkout, we could stay until 4 p.m. before heading out. My mom and I felt at home from the moment we arrived, thanks to the warm welcome from every staff member, even before we checked in. The room was neat, clean, and extremely comfortable. Our first stay at InterContinental Kaohsiung was wonderfully relaxing, and it’ll be our first choice next time we visit Kaohsiung.
