Just Inn Kaohsiung

We came across this hotel while traveling with family in Kaohsiung. It seemed newly built and was very clean. The rooms are small, but comfortable and cozy, with a tidy, well-presented feel. The shower had good temperature and pressure, plus adjustable settings. I also really liked the Japanese-style toilet seat, with a heated seat and adjustable bidet. There’s a 7/11 right across the street and good breakfast shops within walking distance. Liuhe Night market is about a 5-10 minute walk away. The amenities were good, and the hotel felt like great value for an overnight stay. I’d definitely consider it again.

The soundproofing was the worst part. You can hear traffic outside, as well as people flushing toilets and showering inside the building. The interior looks nicely designed, but it doesn’t seem very practical. Service was at the low end of my experiences in Taiwan. Some shifts had nice staff, but others weren’t helpful or professional, especially some of the male staff. At check-in I was told not to dye my hair, with no explanation, along with a few other comments. It killed the mood right away.

The rooms are a decent size and reasonably comfortable, with a modern feel. Prices are reasonable too 😀

I’d seen comments about the counter service, but my own experience with the staff was very good. They gave us lots of trip information and suggestions, and even helped make reservations, which I really appreciated. The room was clean and well designed, and the location made it easy to reach the Metro and other places. During my stay, nobody tried to get into my room, despite that issue being mentioned by others.
