We had a capybara-themed room, decorated with about half a dozen big capybara stuffed animals. It was huge, like two regular hotel rooms, with two queen beds, a sofa and coffee table, almost like a big studio. We were also treated to afternoon tea with cake and drinks. The walk to the new Kaohsiung train station takes around 10-15 minutes and was pleasant, with wide, uncluttered sidewalks, which aren't always available in other Taiwanese cities. A very comfortable hotel.

The rooms felt extremely outdated, more like a KTV room than a proper hotel. The website photos gave me a completely different impression. When I asked to cancel or shorten my stay after seeing the room, they refused, so I had to stay the whole time. Very disappointing. Don't be fooled by the photos.

The hotel is spacious, the staff are friendly, and I really like the rooms. The beds are comfortable and there are bidets. You can walk to the subway, though it's not especially close, about 10 minutes. I love this hotel.

We stayed for 8 days and still enjoyed breakfast every time. The quality stood out, and the braised pork was so good, better than what I'd had before. The staff were super friendly and helpful with things like room cleaning, emergency kits and reheating food. Having a washer and dryer at the hotel made doing laundry really convenient. The location, cleanliness and kid-friendly setup people mention in other reviews are all true. Highly recommend it for families with little ones!

Tea time was a lovely touch, and we appreciated getting free bottles of water each day. The breakfast was very good, with some Western choices, and the staff were friendly. The hotel and rooms were super clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower and bathroom were perfect. We got plenty of rest. Best hotel I've stayed at in Taiwan. A 10.
