The front desk were welcoming and helpful, explained everything in detail, and stored my luggage before and after check-in and checkout. There were even free cup noodles and drinks in the guest room. The bed was comfy, the room had big windows and stayed quiet all day, and there was a water fountain in the hallway. Breakfast was free, varied and delicious. The washer was free to use, and the dryer cost 50 NTD for 40 minutes. I used both and was happy with them. The hotel is close to the subway and a beef noodle soup place right beside it. Pier 2 Art Centre is within walking distance, and a bus outside the hotel goes to Gushan Ferry Pier for Qijin. I stayed two nights in early April, at the start of a week-long trip in Taiwan, and this was the best stay of the whole trip. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kaohsiung.

The hotel has been renovated and was very clean. We liked the spacious beds, thick mattresses, and the daily cup noodles. The bathroom was spotless, and everyone at the front desk was willing to help. Breakfast was simple, but I loved the porridge and greens, and the watermelon was so sweet. It helped me get my daily vegetables. Thanks to the chef too. Highly recommend this place. From Yanchengpu hotel, use exit 3 or 4, one has escalators and the other doesn't. Diagonally across is zao an mei zhi cheng, a breakfast corner with freshly made sandwiches, open from 6pm to 1pm. We had the hotel's breakfast and ate there during our two days.

The staff were very helpful, and the laundry room was a thoughtful extra, with free washing and soap. My large room faced the street and had a comfortable bed and pillows, a bath and shower, and a Japanese toilet. I didn't love the breakfast, but there were plenty of other choices right outside. Great stay, and I'd come back.

We were a couple traveling with our 4-year-old and booked the largest room, which had a train-themed toddler bed with a slide. The murals on the walls and bed got our child excited, and there was nonstop fun right in the room. The hotel is super kid-friendly. There was no carpet, just clean laminate flooring, and each room had an air purifier, good news for people with allergies. Families can use the free washers and detergent; dryers cost NT$50 per load. There's also a Switch video game and activities room, plus cold and hot filtered water on every floor. Our bathroom had both a shower stall and a bathtub, and stepping stools for little ones are available on request.
