We paid TWD 15930 for three nights, which felt reasonable for what we got. The kids were busy the whole time, between the cars, Switch, slide, and YouTube in the room. They could play while we went to the night market for dinner. There’s a lot to see around the area, so we drove to places like the water geothermal park, lucky crayon, tiger brand beehoon, and luna plaza. A restaurant auntie recommended tiger brand beehoon and was super friendly. The food there was nice and had high CP. Parking was always available when we got back, though the carpark entrance and exit share a single lane going up and down, so watch the traffic lights. Renting a car is a good idea if you can, since the roads are easy to navigate and driving is faster and cheaper than taxis or private drivers. The hotel is close to luodong night market, with convenience stores and plenty of places to eat within a five-minute walk. There’s ample free parking in the basement. Breakfast has typical Taiwanese items, cereal, and a coffee machine with lots of coffee and tea choices. They also put out snacks and drinks in the afternoon. You have to book time slots for breakfast and housekeeping, but the restaurant staff were flexible, and we didn’t need the whole hour to eat. Our treehouse room on L8 for 2A2C was spacious and clean. It had a Japanese toilet, a bathtub with a shower head, and a separate shower stall. The TV was smart and had YouTube for the kids. They replenished two bottles of water and four packets of juice, plus green tea and cocoa each day. There were plenty of USB charging points, though they weren’t fast chargers. Crabtree and Evelyn shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were supplied in the shower. Some things were missing: no hand wash or bar soap, bedroom slippers, or bathrobes. Housekeeping didn’t wash the cups, and the hangers couldn’t be fully removed. There weren’t enough dustbins, and there’s no self-service laundry. The ball pit on the third floor needs an upgrade. The kids’ facilities also include Nintendo Switch for 50 minutes per play, little driving vehicles, and a two-storey slide. On weekdays the vehicles had little or no wait. Staff on the second floor were very friendly, and we felt safe leaving the kids with them. One small annoyance was the lack of soap. We had some left from a previous hotel, so it was fine for us, but it could bother other guests. The toilet door also doesn’t lock, which may be an issue with toddlers. My kids are older, so it was alright. All in all, it’s a great place for kids aged 6 to 10. It seemed pretty popular with Singaporeans, and I felt there were more of us than Taiwanese families.

It’s a great spot for families, with a short walk to luodong station and the night market. The kids get an activity sheet with eight things to complete when they arrive, and they receive a prize when they finish it. We also liked the 15-minute electric car rides, the kid titbits and crockery, the little playground and toddler area, and the two-storey slide. The staff were really friendly. Rooms are made safer for babies and kids with rounded and padded corners.

We all had a great time here. The room was roomy and comfortable, and you’re very close to the Luodong night market, with lots of good food and bubble tea nearby. We’ll definitely return.

The rooms are fine, but they’re fully carpeted, so wet feet are a problem. For more than 400sgd a night, I don’t think it’s worth it. The hotel has a playground, a slide, and motorised vehicles for kids, but the ball pit is in poor shape. At least 20% of the balls were crushed open, which could be a problem for kids who like diving in. I guess you sign an indemnity to use the facilities. Even the indoor playground at Shangri-la Singapore, which also has a free Pg, is better maintained. They really need to review their standards.

The rooms are spacious, and the beds and pillows are comfortable. The sunken bathtub is easy for kids to get into, and the Crabtree and Evelyn soap, shampoo, and conditioner smell good. But the sound insulation is very poor. I was woken by loud talking and banging on the walls from the kid next door, as well as an ambulance siren at street level. Light sleepers should avoid this place. The kids had a great time in the two floors set aside for play and didn’t want to leave. The hotel sanitizes the area for an hour every day, which is a good effort. The ‘car rental’ is especially popular and needs to be booked ahead. The hotel is within walking distance of Luodong Night Market. Hand soap and bath slippers aren’t provided in the room, so you have to ask reception for them. Even though we booked a big family room, only two bottles of water were provided, and we had to go down for more. Still, it’s a good place if you’re not a light sleeper.
