Glory hotel

Right in the center of Lotung town and close to the Lotung night bizarre, the hotel is convenient and cheap. The building and facilities are quite old. Parking uses a double-deck mechanical system that only works for compact cars, so SUVs and larger vehicles can’t park there. The elevator is pretty small too.

Bao Bao recommended this place, and we found the service warm. The AC is strong, the water pressure is high, and the location is handy for the night market. If you want breakfast, get there at 6:30, since they don’t replenish the food.

Breakfast was standard hotel fare, enough to fill you up if you aren’t picky. My room had recently been renovated, was fairly spacious, and came with a balcony. There were lots of older women staying on the day I was there, and the soundproofing didn’t do much. Humidity was the main drawback; a dehumidifier would have helped.

For a holiday, 2299 for a four-person room was very cheap, and the hairdryer worked well. It’s also not far from the night market. Parking was a problem, though. We were told there was parking when we booked, but when we arrived, there were no spaces left because it was limited, so we had to find somewhere else. They should mention that ahead of time, since parking near the night market is hard to find. Noise carries between floors because the soundproofing isn’t great, though most hotels around there are old, so that didn’t take away from the whole stay. The worst part was checkout: we handed the key to the front desk and were told to bring our room number to get it back. After the night market, we returned at 9 PM and nobody was at the desk. Our key had just been left on the table, with our luggage still inside the room. That felt dangerous and needs to be fixed. Sharing this for reference.
