We stayed for two days and had two rooms. It went well, but I recommend downloading the LINE account and messaging the manager before check-in. Otherwise, getting into the building can be difficult.

A countryside location, in a studio flat set up like an Airbnb.

I was worried about having to carry things up to the third floor with a child, but there was an elevator when I opened the door. That was a nice surprise, and the room was huge. The guesthouse was a comfortable place to stay, and I loved the environment. The bed and pillows were so good that I fell asleep quickly, even though I usually have trouble sleeping. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Luodong Night Market, or you can take an Uber if walking with a child doesn’t suit you. The main drawback was the noise. Each room has an electronic lock, and the doors make a really loud sound when they open. My mother-in-law was unlucky: the guests next door didn’t arrive until midnight, then chatted loudly with friends until 2 AM. If you’re sensitive to sound, this probably isn’t a good choice.

The reviews were positive, and another member of my club had recommended it, but I found the place just okay. The toilet was tiny, and you had to duck under a 90-degree beam to shower. There are photos in the comments if you want to see it. The outdoor air conditioner unit on the balcony was incredibly dirty, so we had to shut the door as soon as we opened it. Parking was hard to find, and there was even a Charlotte, though that may be an exaggeration. On my four-day trip to Yilan I stayed at three B&Bs, and this one ranked third for me.
