The owner was very welcoming and put together a thoughtful breakfast. Our room and beds were especially clean, and the nights were fairly quiet. It was a really great stay, thumbs up!

You can look up at the stars from the balcony at night. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a very cozy feel, and it was impeccably clean. I can be pretty fussy about cleanliness, so this is now at the top of my list and on my wishlist. I rarely review guesthouses, but this one earned my five stars and a thumbs up. It's also unusual to find heating and cooling in the bathroom, a really thoughtful touch.

We felt at ease here, with clean, comfortable rooms that had a homey feel. The owner was warm and welcoming, treated us like friends, and seemed to think ahead about what guests might need. Breakfast was especially generous, and you could tell she put care into it. Free parking and bicycle rentals made getting around convenient, and the place is close to major attractions, which saved us travel time. The price was affordable, while the service and quality were top-notch. Staying here felt like being cared for, and we'd highly recommend it.

We added a day in Yilan so the kids could spend longer at the Children's Folklore Festival, and booked the Honey Family Room on the day of the festival. It was just right for our family of five, with plenty of space for the children to sleep well. They loved waking up to the morning light shining on the room's decor, which felt strange and special to them. Since the guesthouse is on the ground floor, the bathroom was spacious, and the showerhead had such a strong spray that I doubt many people use it. It quickly eased the tiredness from our day trip. The kids changed clothes constantly, and the owner let us use the washing machine for their soaked, dirty outerwear and swimsuits. We got everything washed, though we left the drying room a mess and felt bad about it. We had our own transportation and hadn't researched the area ahead of time. The place was a little far from the city center, but not far from the night market, and we liked the quiet and freedom away from the bustle. Breakfast came in family portions the next day, with enough for everyone, including the children and older family members. The hostess also prepared food for guests who ate only vegetarian meals. We left with the kids carrying lovely memories.
