Maggie, the new management, and Ms. Yuan, who checked us in, answered our questions quickly and suggested places to eat and visit. We had a ground-floor room, which made coming and going easy, and it was clean and well cared for. The Sunbeam Hideaway sits on a small lane opposite a lovely park, with plenty of street parking. If you drive, they cover the parking ticket fees. Breakfast came to our room at the agreed time and was generous, with a good mix of local dishes and sandwiches, salad, fruit and drinks. It made a great base for exploring Yilan, and we really enjoyed staying there.

Billy greeted us so warmly and walked us through the room’s facilities and how to use them. He also pointed us toward some good nearby restaurants. The room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was generous, healthy and filling. It made me feel at home.

The B&B is right beside Luodong sports park, and the room was large and clean. I liked that the bathroom and toilet were separate. The owner made breakfast, and from the photo you can see how generous and tasty it was. They speak fluent English, which is a big help for visitors from abroad.

The host was friendly and spoke English very well, so it works for foreign visitors too. The setting was cozy, with a huge bathtub, and it’s near the park. Breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of drinks and good biscuits. Nearby restaurants are a few minutes away by car, with lots of choices, including local food.

Amazing host and a great place to stay in Yilan. I’d give it 10/10 and recommend it.
