We stopped by on Saturday morning, and it was a pleasant visit without many people around. There was no pressure to sample the tea. We tried a lot of the excellent red teas, including some suitable for cold brewing. They also had mochi snacks, and I probably ate more samples than I should have.

I fell for the tea service so much that I treated myself to a charming teapot and some cups. We had a very nice tasting of green Oolong and red tea. The Greek person in our group liked the green best, while I preferred the tea service.

My travel companions had strongly recommended this tea shop, and the owner lived up to that recommendation. She was friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer our questions. For our group of ten, she brewed Jin Xuan, Honey Black Tea, and Lu Ye Red Oolong, explaining the different flavor levels and letting us taste them in that order. Everyone found a favorite, and we bought several things. I especially liked Jin Xuan's gentle milky aroma, so I took home both loose leaves and tea bags. The owner mentioned the brewed tea may taste a little different and suggested trying it at home. Loose leaves are, of course, more fragrant than bags. My friends and family liked the mild sweetness of the Honey Black Tea, so we picked some up too. The Red Oolong was among the best I've ever tried, and I'll save it for next time. The candied fruit, tea cakes, and dried fruit samples were delicious as well, so we bought some. The dried fruit was natural, not too sweet, and came in several varieties. There were also special items in the fridge, including pickled radish and peeled chili peppers in tea oil, all at reasonable prices.

The red Oolong I entered in the contest was aromatic and delicious. I had a lovely time chatting with the young couple through a translation app. I'll be back next time for sure!

The owner was welcoming and walked me through the background of red Oolong and how to brew it. I sampled three grades, including superior and silver medal, and each was delicious 👍. Even the most basic one was far better than another tea garden's so-called gold medal tea. It's reassuring to buy here because the quality is authentic. It's an old tea garden near Luye Highland.
