The location was quite good, and we have no complaints. What stood out most was the staff, who were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Having lived in Taiwan for more than 6 years, we can say this was by far our best experience for service and facilities. Breakfast and shuttle service to and from the airport were free, and they helped us rent a motorcycle. The staff can speak some English, but it’s limited. Google Translate is your best friend here. Be patient and cooperate, and they’ll go out of their way to help. I didn’t take many photos, just breakfast and the nearby rainbow bridge, haha. Sorry! And thank you FK Hotel!! 😊

For my first visit to Penghu, I was glad and lucky to find an affordable stay at Foung Kou Hotel. There are eateries and convenience stores within a 5-10 minute walk, and the hotel is near the public transport terminals: the ferry pier is a 15-20 minute walk, the bus terminal is 20 minutes on foot, and the airport is a 20-minute bus ride. The nearby bus terminal also makes it possible to explore other parts of Penghu as long as they’re not off-island, including Xiyu、Huxi、Baisha、Fenggui and Waian. Breakfast was reasonable. The soundproofing could be better, and I think the hotel could reconsider its early 10 am checkout.

Really good value for the price, with friendly and polite service. The traditional Taiwanese breakfast was fantastic and went well beyond what I expected for this accommodation price.

The place is an easy walk from the main street, with a supermarket close by for groceries. It’s near the city center too. A little dated, but clean and tidy.
