Full House

The owner’s thoughtful service was clear even though we hadn’t planned much for this nostalgic trip. Rooms were clean, there was plenty of hot water, and parking was easy. It’s about a five-minute walk to the fireworks festival site. When you book, they invite you to a Line group, which is useful for information on boat tickets, car rentals, local products, restaurants, water activities, and island tours. They can usually put together a satisfying, affordable plan. It’s a high-quality place for the price, though I’m almost afraid to praise it too much in case I can’t book next time 😝

I really didn’t want to leave a review, but this was a terrible experience. There were problems every day, and I was extremely disappointed. We asked the owner to book a package ticket, but she didn’t say which cruise company it was. We only learned there were several companies when we arrived. She admitted she’d forgotten to tell us after we asked. The travel subsidy allowed a 1,000 discount. The owner said she’d deduct 1,000 on the first day and let us know if there were still spots on the second day so she could refund that amount. We never heard from her, and when I asked that evening, she said she’d forgotten. The souvenir order was another issue. We gave her the quantities and total, but a box was missing when we picked it up at the airport. It took a long time for her to answer the phone. She did eventually resolve it, but the whole thing left me speechless. That’s why I’m giving two stars.

The landlady was so thoughtful. Since we were leaving after one night to go diving, she gave us bite-sized brown sugar cakes and savory biscuits to take along. The cakes were delicious 🤤. She helped us rent scooters, and the rental company was very helpful about taking us to the pier when we returned them. We had some large equipment, so she even arranged a car to take us straight to the pier. The room was spacious and good value. The whole stay had the warmth of Penghu locals and their kind, endearing smiles. Thanks so much for all your help, it was lovely having you all 🥰

The Smoky Wave Room on the second floor was beautiful and really spacious, with room to relax beyond the bed and a balcony for catching some sun. I spent the first night in a different room, then the next three nights there, for four nights total at Romantic House Holiday Villa. Booking and communication were excellent. The owner replied quickly, answered everything, and sent photos that matched the room exactly. She helped us through the room change, though we had to wait a bit before we could use the new room. Her communication was reassuring, which was a big plus. She also helped order breakfast and made the car rental and return easy. I really enjoyed the four-night vacation at Romantic House and would love to come back! 😍
