MF Hotel Penghu

A practical, reasonably priced place with clean rooms, a good shower, and friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are a decent size, and I liked the triple room's layout even more than the double. Most of town is an easy walk away, and there's a Family Mart downstairs. Street parking is available outside. I'd stay again. Booking through the hotel's own site at the last minute may get you a better rate. For a rental car, iRent has cars by the hour in the Sheraton Hotel basement, about a 10-minute walk away. Download the app and register in advance. Those cars include insurance, which local rental places here don't seem to offer.

Good value, comfortable, and clean. The location feels safe and convenient, close to the shopping area. Disposable toiletries are available at the counter, and breakfast is optional. There's a shuttle too, but check the details with the hotel staff.

I could walk to most sights and places to eat, and my room even looked out over the sea. It was quiet and stylish, with plenty of space and the things I needed. The cleanliness, service, and in-room amenities were a pleasant surprise. The pillows and quilt felt comparable to what I've had at 5-star hotels. I'd recommend it to independent travellers.

I booked on the official website again because it seemed to have the best price. This was my second stay at MF HarbourView Hotel, and I had another fantastic experience. My double room had a bathtub, and although it was small, it felt cozy and comfortable. Disposable toiletries aren't placed in the room, but you can ask for them at the front desk. The restaurant was being renovated into a convenience store during this visit, though there wasn't much noise or dust. I especially appreciated the air conditioning. After a hot, humid day in Penghu, it was wonderfully cold.
