The place is clean enough and has a high-tech setup, with passwords needed for both the room and main entrance. What stood out most compared with other hostels I've stayed at in Penghu was the hospitality. The owner, I think, greeted us warmly each morning. When the weather was bad and our whole itinerary got canceled, he helped me work out places to explore anyway. We still managed to visit several beaches, especially one he recommended.

The terrace was a really cool place to hang out, and the bedrooms and beds were comfortable. Mike, the owner, was friendly and helpful. I did wish they'd had tea and coffee available.

The downtown Penghu Makong location made it easy to find food and shop for souvenirs. The bed and mattress were good, and the AC kept a nice temperature and worked well. Since you share the room with other people, bring earplugs.

Mike, who runs the hostel, was helpful and knew the area inside out. The place is thoughtfully set up, with USB plugs and USB-C converters in the bunks, bed curtains, shared hairdryers, clotheslines, and a water dispenser. Its location is excellent too: the Magong port, fireworks viewing area, main streets, and island bus terminal are all around a 5-10 minute walk away. Really glad we found it.

In a great spot in Magong, this hostel was very clean and quiet. The host was super friendly and easy to approach with questions or if you wanted recommendations.
