This was a lovely find in a small place like Penghu. There are plenty of B&Bs around in the low season, but this couple made us feel very welcome from the moment we booked. When he heard we planned to drive around the island, the host offered to arrange a car. Not many rental companies will rent to foreigners. He also called to check that we’d arrived safely, and when he learned our rental car might not fit all our luggage, he offered to have some of it picked up separately. So thoughtful. The room was well kept and had two beds for the four of us, with enough room to walk around and store our bags. No self-service laundry at the B&B, which we expected, but there’s a laundrette 400m away. There’s no parking space either, so we parked by the roadside. Before we left, the host suggested pulling up at the foyer the night before to load our suitcases more easily. We appreciated that. No bottled water was provided, but there’s a hot and cold water dispenser just outside the room, plus a pitcher, cups, coffee, tea, and some local snacks. The shared dining area downstairs is available to use, just clear the utensils and clean the table afterward. We finally met their dog on our last day after seeing all his photos. So cute! I think his name is Xiaoqiu. We’d consider staying here again if we return. Keep up the good work!

The location was a big plus, close to the music festival and surrounded by good food. The Wemo partnership was handy too. I rented a car for three hours, and pickup and return were both very easy, definitely recommend 👍. There are flowers all over the entrance landscaping, and staying here made my Penghu trip so much better. The couple created an American-style guesthouse that feels totally like me. It’s clean and comfortable, with a great sofa to stretch out on and a super comfortable bed. I’m usually an early riser, but here I didn’t want to get up 😆. You can see the owner’s attention to detail everywhere. The toiletries are a Japanese brand, which made me feel like I was in Japan again, and the hairdryer was good enough that I didn’t need to bring my own. Highly recommend!

The owner knows Penghu really well and gave me lots of balanced suggestions for places to visit. The guesthouse looks just like its online photos, and the bed is incredibly comfortable. I usually avoid walking barefoot in guesthouses, but the shared floors and stairs here were spotless, with no gritty, sandy feeling. There’s a cute sitting area with sofas on every floor, a really thoughtful touch.
