Ocean Hotel

The room was wonderful, with an ocean view and a swing on the balcony, and the location was great. The staff were all friendly and professional, especially the front desk team, who helped us a lot. I’ll definitely stay here again when I visit Penghu.

Penghu PengHu Islands, Taiwan Ocean Hotel Ocean Resort A friend recommended this place for our three-day, two-night reunion trip. When we arrived, the receptionists welcomed us warmly and offered to look after our bags. We went sea fishing and caught fish in tidal pools among the block-rocks nearby that afternoon, then check-in later was quick and easy. Our room on the 7th floor had elegant decor inspired by the local scenery. The small balcony had a swing and a lovely view of MaGong Harbor and the Taiwan Strait. There was a Queen Bed and a firm, inviting day-couch that was comfortable for a nap. The AC was so strong that it almost made me want to nap in the humid, blazing heat. We had a 42" flat screen with cable channels including HBO, CNN, and Cinemax. Wifi was free and impressively fast, in both the lobby and room, so I could keep in touch with friends by Email, FB, and Line during our three days of sea adventures. The romantic bathroom had a huge bathtub and shower, an elongated toilet, and a stylish window between it and the bedroom with an adjustable blind. The tub's giant window looked out to the harbor. It would be lovely for a bubble bath, and there was a curtain to pull for privacy. Toiletries were supplied, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, a comb, shower cap, cute soaps, and a hair dryer. Shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner were attached to the wall. The lobby and hallways had soft, soothing jazzy music. When I asked for extra pillows, the housekeeper brought them within minutes. I’ve stayed in many nice hotels around the US, Japan, and Europe, and rarely had such prompt service. The buffet restaurant served a delicious range of local dishes for breakfast and dinner, which we enjoyed a lot. Our room stayed clean and tidy throughout. The pleasant atmosphere, central location, friendly staff, and wonderful room made the trip memorable. I’ll recommend it to friends and would come back.

Waking up to the ocean view was the best part of our stay. We’ve visited Peng Hu many times as a family, and this hotel has become one of our favorites. The local staff were warm and helpful with all our requests, and the main street with its shops and food is just nearby. Thanks, Ocean!

For the price, everything was good. The location is convenient, and the room was clean and quiet.
