I felt looked after without having to interact more than I wanted, and the B&B’s recommendations for attractions and souvenir shops seemed trustworthy because the place itself held to such high standards. SaYe made the Penghu trip worry-free, and I’m so glad I booked here. At first, I chose it from all the well-reviewed B&Bs in Penghu because I liked the exterior. After getting in touch, their thorough SOP gave me a professional, friendly impression. The rooms and shared space were comfortable and nicely put together, with quality furniture and amenities that made me feel secure. We arrived by boat. Before we’d even stood up after it docked, the owner called and clearly explained where to meet after getting off. Our pre-booked scooter was waiting when we reached the B&B, so we could go straight through the rental process. Check-in instructions were clear too.

The only real downside for me was the TV, which only had CTV. The housekeeper said there were more channels on the lobby TVs, but we’re a small group and don’t watch much, so being in the room was fine. I also loved the lighting and decor and may use some ideas in my new home. The place felt secure and the environment was excellent. Our room had great water pressure, with hot water coming through quickly and nice and hot. It was raining when we arrived in Penghu, so that kept my daughter from getting cold. There was a water dispenser and recycling bins outside the room, which made preparing formula and taking out rubbish easy. Since it’s an eco-friendly place, they didn’t clean the room or replace toiletries during our stay unless asked, and I thought that was fine. We booked directly with the guesthouse for less than the booking-site prices. They asked for our flight times and whether we needed a shuttle, then the manager called when we landed in Penghu to confirm the pickup. They even found us the only scooter left. They said they work with two scooter shops, and ours was really new. It’s worth asking guesthouses about what you need ahead of time. The accommodation was clean, simple, and comfortable. We reserved a balcony room a month ahead for the long weekend. My husband was delighted he could smoke as much as he liked, while luckily my daughter and I didn’t have to breathe the secondhand smoke. I liked the soft, fluffy pillows and bedding, though my husband found the pillows too flat since he usually sleeps with two.

They serve a different local breakfast each day, which was lovely. The owners were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the place felt spacious, clean, and comfortable, like home. I’ve stayed at this B&B both times I’ve visited Penghu. Five stars! 😍😍

The streetlights in Penghu seemed dim during our three days there, and the B&B is near the reservoir, where it gets especially dark. If you’re driving back late, take care because it may be hard to see. We stayed at Sanye B&B for three days and two nights over the holiday and found it one of the cleanest, most comfortable B&Bs we’ve tried. You can tell the proprietress pays attention to little details. Breakfast was simple but filling without being too much, leaving room to eat once you go out. The milk tea was so good I had three cups. They also offer shopping services and made a local Penghu tourist map. The kids loved its cartoon pictures, and it was clear they’d put a lot of effort into it. There’s a parent-child area on the first floor with books, blocks, and toys, though we were too tired when we got back to use it. The children did like the toy dolls, turtles, and fish pond downstairs. Noise can happen in the accommodation compartment, so just avoid being loud enough to disturb others. We met nice guests and it stayed quiet throughout. I was satisfied overall and would probably choose this B&B again.
