Summer Sea Hostel

I stayed February 23rd to February 26th. It was a peaceful, quiet area, with FamilyMart, 7-Eleven and a coin laundry nearby. The city center was about a 5-minute bike ride away. The room was very clean, and the owner was friendly without disturbing guests.

The manager was friendly and direct, and answered all our questions. We had a pleasant three-day, two-night stay in room number 4, a double room on the third floor, with two adults and two children aged 3 years and 6 months. The room was comfortable and clean, and the price was very reasonable. It's not peak fireworks season, but our little family would gladly stay again. When I first contacted the owner, he was quite busy, but the rates were good. For later questions about boat tickets and car rentals, he gave us a price list right away, which saved us the trouble of asking around. The guesthouse is in a quiet alley, easy to park motorcycles at, while car parking means finding a white line outside. There's a convenience store nearby, and the city center is less than a 5-minute bike ride away. There's no elevator, so think about your luggage size, though my strong husband managed a 29-inch bag easily. They don't clear trash from the room, which didn't bother me since we brought no food and didn't need to worry about storing personal belongings. The air conditioner was a little noisy, but it didn't bother us.

The room had dead cockroaches, and there wasn't even a water dispenser. Getting advice about nearby attractions was unpleasant too. The replies came across as if guests shouldn't travel without researching everything first, and that asking once there was inappropriate. Management also never gave clear guidance about when to take out garbage, how to sort recycling, or cleaning up after ourselves each day. They even made sarcastic remarks about people from the south bringing home more than they arrived with, because they'd bought souvenirs.

The place was quiet, with great soundproofing, and the four nights felt like good value. The service was a real plus: messages got quick replies and everyone was polite. I'd consider coming back. The only things that took getting used to were a slightly musty smell in the second-floor six-person room and a noisy air conditioner in one room. It was manageable if we ran it before bed, then switched it off to sleep.
