The surf break is within walking distance, which was a big plus, and they rent out a good range of surfboards. The rooms are nicely decorated, and the owners clearly care a lot about keeping everything clean. A really lovely place to stay. I’d happily come back if I return to Taiwan.

Aganas gave me such a thoughtful surf lesson that I’m incredibly grateful to her. The night before our 6 a.m. session, she went over the theory so we could make the most of the early start. She covered not just technique but also what to watch for out at sea. During the lesson she guided me, reminded me to check where I was, and helped me with tips for catching a wave. Afterward, she invited me to lunch so I could see more of local life, drove me to a massage shop and back to the hotel, then joined me for another practice session. She also went over what I did well, what I struggled with, and how to improve. She was incredibly helpful, thorough, and friendly. The night before the lesson, she even shared some cake she’d bought in Kenting, which was such an unexpected, kind gesture. Thank you! The room matched the photos: spacious, comfortable, clean, and with a small balcony. It’s a great location for surfing, less than a five-minute walk from the beach, with a couple of restaurants right across the street. The owner gave me tips for my stay and, on my first day, took me to the nearest 7-11. That saved me a 14 km bike ride, seven kilometres each way. She was thoughtful throughout my stay and helped find me a surf coach even though I hadn’t booked one in advance, connecting me with Aganas, a local surfer. One thing that could be better would be offering photography. It’s a pity I don’t have pictures from my surf session, but I’m too much of a beginner to carry my GoPro on the board yet.

We had an amazing time on the surf course with Aganas (Agnes). She knows so much about surfing and taught us with real passion. It was a blast! Thanks so much, Agnes. We hope to see you again in Taiwan or Europe ❤️

The hosts were wonderful and the service was great. It’s perfectly located for surfing. I’ll definitely come back when I visit southern Taiwan.
