They offer free cancellation through Agoda, but seemed to hold it against me when I cancelled. The service was poor.

The only thing I missed was a table to set our things on. We often ended up putting them on the floor. Our second-floor double room had one bed, a comfortable mattress and pillows, and a sofa nearby. There was a sea view from the balcony, where we could wash and dry clothes. The bathroom had good ventilation, with no damp or musty smell, and even the towels smelled sun-dried. We could use the cooking utensils and dishes downstairs as long as we washed them and put them back. It’s quiet and close to the sea. Manzhou Township is a 10-15 minute walk away for supplies, though the city center is farther. There are plenty of guesthouses around here. I also want to thank the landlady for quickly arranging our room, water, and other amenities, even though the booking platform hadn’t notified her about my reservation.

The room looked out over the ocean, and the beach was just a three-minute walk away. We spent six nights there with our son during summer vacation in Kenting and really didn’t want to leave. Our four-person duplex had a kitchenette for simple meals, and nights were very quiet. A friend had recommended the place, and we were glad they did. Hiddie was warm and welcoming, and easy to contact whenever we had a question or needed something.

The room was clean, stylish, and comfortable, and the owner was kind and charming. When we ran into problems while sightseeing, they were really helpful. Jialeshuei beach is only a minute away, which made this surf trip easy. I’d stay here again next time I’m in Jialeshuei.
