The dining area was my favorite spot, with mountain views and music playing softly in the background. The house feels cosy, and the shared living room was a nice place to meet two guests from France. The owner made us breakfast, one egg each, though my family had three eggs for the photo, and he was friendly and quick to answer questions before our stay. He was waiting at the entrance when we arrived, too. We stayed in the six-person room on the night of 16/5. It was peaceful, with only nature sounds, and felt like a real break from city life. I heard he had helped the other guests get to the nearest transport station, about half an hour away. The one drawback is how remote it is, especially in the rain. Our driver was grumpy on the way there.

We could still see fireflies here. The boss was really helpful and fun to talk to, so I'd definitely come back.

The owner knows the area well and is friendly, so feel free to ask him anything. Rooms are clean, parking is spacious, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. My pick for the best B&B in Alishan.

It's a quiet, comfortable place, with a big living room and a roomy, fully equipped kitchen. There's also a small front-yard spot where kids can play. The building has four rooms: one double, two quadruple rooms, and one for six. That six-person room has two double beds and two single upper bunks, and all the rooms have their own bathrooms. Breakfast is included, and you can arrange a time with the owner, which works for night owls. Check-out is at 11:00 AM. In summer, bring mosquito repellent and other compact essentials. It seems they prefer guests not to bring hot food into the living room.
