Being in the city center made it easy to find meals and souvenirs. I can't thank the owner enough. Our work crew had traveled to Matsu, then got stuck because the Xintai-Malaysia shipping route had been stopped for several days. When the owner heard there was overtime and a ship was due to sail, she let us know right away and helped arrange transport for our truck. Without her, we had no idea how long we'd have been stranded. Thank you so much, owner! 🙏 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our family made two enjoyable, unforgettable trips to Matsu, and Jiuwu Xiaozhu worked well for us. The location was convenient and close to the airport, so we didn't need to rush on the way back. There's an elevator, which was especially helpful for the elders in our group. The room quality was excellent, rates weren't arbitrarily raised, and the owner was willing to help when we brought up any issues politely. She also encourages guests to bring their own environmentally friendly toothbrushes and toothpaste. On our first trip, August 3rd (Sat) to August 5th (Mon), I asked lots of itinerary questions through Booking.com before meeting the host. She replied clearly and quickly, and gave me all the details I needed about ordering a birthday cake for a family member. In person, the hostess was lovely, efficient, and had a great temperament. Her service was warm and proactive, whether through Line or Booking.com. Her advice was practical and helped us save money. One of our original group of nine couldn't come due to unforeseen circumstances, but she still gave us nine breakfast vouchers. She was kind about it and not petty at all. The rooms with balconies slept four. The weather was excellent, though the afternoon sun was strong and it took a while for the air conditioning to cool the room. When I mentioned that on our next visit, September 6th (Friday) to September 8th (Sunday), the owner went upstairs to check and brought us a fan, making two trips. I admired how hands-on and patient she was. Guests have different habits and minor issues come up, but she was understanding, humble, and polite. She also gave thoughtful reminders about car rentals, attractions, and itineraries. Across both trips she showed a real commitment to looking after guests and managing the place. Even when there were no rooms available, she arranged an alternative place for us and kept helping with our itinerary, replying promptly online. If you want to stay near attractions, this place may be a bit far away and you'll need to leave earlier. It suits a slower pace. The owner stayed open and helpful throughout, and our family had a great experience.

The hostess answered my accommodation questions quickly and in detail. She also gave me a breakfast coupon, which made eating at a partnered breakfast shop more affordable. I appreciated being assigned a high-floor room with a panoramic view of Nangan Township, and the extra quilt helped me sleep through Matsu's harsh winter. The room at Jiuwu was very comfortable.
