We could clearly hear the neighbors on both sides, talking during the day and watching a movie at night. There was also a mosquito flying at us as soon as we entered, probably from the air conditioning. The AC was extremely cold. We tried to raise the temperature, but nothing changed. When we asked for help, the staff said our unit could not heat the room, so we'd have to put up with it. He brought us an old, dusty blanket instead. 😐 The bathtub wasn't usable in our room. It was very dirty, and one side was broken, so rust came straight into the water.

The room was filthy, from the floor and bathroom to the mirror and window. I found it disgusting, and we paid over 100 USD a night for it. The room was also cold and noisy: we could hear every word from the neighbors, and mosquitoes seemed to come from the loud AC. It gave me the impression the place hadn't been cleaned in decades. Staff said the AC couldn't be set above 20 degrees, so we were freezing. When I told the receptionist, he laughed and said there was no heating in Taiwan and this was normal. I'd spent four months in countless Taiwanese accommodations and never had this issue with an AC. Who gave this hotel three stars? Agoda even lists it as four. It feels like a big scam.

The water didn't work, it was cold with no heater, and breakfast was probably the blandest I've ever had…

The location is good, parking is available, and the rooms are just okay. Two things bring the hotel down to three stars for me. The bathroom tiles are slippery enough to be dangerous for kids. And breakfast is abysmal: a decent hotel should offer more than plain toast and xifan.
