Happy House B&B, Juifan

The rooms were clean and comfortable, but it was noisy, and the official pictures were misleading. They don't show the glass doors. The outside noise came through badly, including a dog barking right in front of our bathroom window, and we could clearly hear a neighbor walking around. Breakfast was just plain wet rice, though if you talk to the owner, they can buy something else outside. Nice place, but it can disappoint.

We had a ground floor room for one night and were happy with the stay. It's conveniently located near the train station, convenience stores, and buses to Jiufen. You can hear outside noise, including trains, but it didn't bother us. The room had a large bathroom and shower, and breakfast was a chicken burger with apple tea. I'd return.

During my Taiwan travels in february 2023, I stayed three nights at this comfortable place. The host was very helpful and spoke English, which made my first steps on taiwanese soil easier. She gave me advice on getting around. Happy House is very close to the train station. From Ruifeng train station there are good connections to Taipei, Keelung, and the Pingxie-Line, and you can take a bus for a short ride up to Jiufen. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower nice. Happy House B&B has a small breakfast, plus a kitchen and coffee machine. I recommend staying here if you're visiting this region of Taiwan.

The staff made arrival easy with a really pleasant orientation, and they were helpful throughout. The guesthouse was tidy and clean, just as described, and close to both the train station and bus stops.
