The room’s atmosphere was lovely, and having a hot spring right there was a real treat. The hotel itself is beautiful too, as you can see in the photos I took. We had a fantastic family stay. Both the infinity pool and public hot spring are roomy and well kept. Breakfast was pretty good, although I usually had to queue for scrambled eggs. Apart from that, I was happy with the food.

The service team really stood out for their enthusiasm and care, and the buffet restaurant was the one letdown. The food and setting looked lovely, but with the holiday crowds, black plastic utility carts were being used to clear food waste, which took away from the elegant feel of dining there. We stayed for Days 1-3 of Lunar New Year and found the hotel relaxing, with a spacious, comfortable room. The rooftop pool had gorgeous views of the God of Wealth Temple, Yangmingshan, the rice fields, and the Yehliu ocean. That small restaurant issue didn't spoil our family trip. We'd definitely come back.

The outdoor heated infinity pool is one of the better things here. It was impressive that they kept such a big pool so warm. Beyond that, I didn't find much to praise. The place had only opened a few months earlier, so I can understand that the operation was still being worked out. But the price is far too high for what you get. It feels like a local boutique hotel with an Intercontinental flag. You could spend less and have a better stay at Westin Tashee or one of the many hot spring hotels in Beitou, with more to do on and around the property. The staff seemed to have had little training and did try their best, but the service was what I'd expect from a 2/3 star hotel, which isn't acceptable at this nightly rate. Food options onsite were scarce: the buffet, or the bar with only a salad and a $50usd bowl of beef noodle. In-room dining used the same menu. There wasn't really anywhere else to eat in town, so we bought food at the Family Mart next door. The room was okay, and it had an in-room hotspring. The decor and amenities otherwise seemed worse than at many 3 star business hotels in Taiwan. I'm not sure whether the bath was dirty or the hot spring water was just a chemical mix, but my kids and I had pretty bad skin irritation. That hasn't happened to us at other places with a similar setup. We stayed two nights. On the second morning, our keys showed a different room when we went to the breakfast buffet. A manager had to come rekey the cards. I don't know if we could have opened someone else's room, but that was a serious security issue. I could say more, but there's no point. Trust me, go somewhere else.

The hot spring was wonderful, and the room was clean and comfortable with excellent facilities. Meals were another highlight, both breakfast and dinner had lots of choice and everything was fresh and tasty. Service felt thoughtful and professional throughout our visit. Check-in took a little longer than I expected, but the staff were so friendly and explained everything in such detail that the wait barely registered. Highly recommend it. We'll definitely return.

We had a peaceful, restorative five-star stay, with lovely local food and luxurious, well-kept facilities. The staff were attentive and friendly, and each room has its own private hot spring tub with clean, high-quality water. This is our favorite hot spring hotel in New Taipei.
