Shuanghui Garden B&B

We had a really nice stay. The rooms were roomy and well kept, and the food was amazing. Everyone was so welcoming, and those mountain views are beautiful. I'd definitely recommend it.

The staff had mentioned a shuttle to Shuangxi station, but when the day came, she only offered to call me a taxi, which I'd have to pay for myself. Breakfast was set out buffet-style on the restaurant counter with nobody looking after it. Everything was cold except the mantou, and bugs were flying around.

The rooms were very clean, and the food was delicious. I had an excellent stay and would recommend it to anyone.

I was cycling around the island and reached the area near Shuangxi at dusk, with rain coming and darkness setting in. I checked into this B&B, then asked the owner about dinner. He said meals usually needed to be booked, but when I told him I was on my own, he invited me to eat with him. I was really touched. When you arrive somewhere and don't feel like heading back out, being offered his kind homemade dinner on such short notice meant a lot. It deserves a good review, and I'd stay again if I get the chance.
