Sunny Room

A good place to get away from city noise and unwind. The room was roomy and had what we needed for a comfortable stay. The view is lovely, especially for couples coming for a honeymoon. They serve a hearty vegetarian breakfast and coffee too.

We were freezing, even with the air con on, and had to sleep in our clothes. There were ants, spider webs, and mosquitoes in our room. The hotel looks old and a little tired, though the owner tried to be friendly and seemed tired too. Breakfast was good, but costs an extra 150. The view is fantastic and public transport makes the location especially convenient. For one night it's okay, though you mostly pay for the view.

I expected better for the price. The room looked appealing in the photos, but in person it was disappointing, with poor cleanliness and old-looking facilities. The air conditioning barely worked, and outside noise kept me from sleeping well. Staff were okay, but weren't very friendly or helpful.

Getting to Jiufen Old Street means quite a bit of climbing from Sunny Room, but being away from the busy area made things quieter and more peaceful. The owners have pets, and we had fun playing with them. The breakfasts were delicious, available for TWD150 per person. Our stay was a big part of why we had such a great time in Jiufen. The boss and staff were incredibly hospitable, and our room had a wonderful view.
