The only small drawback for me was weak Wi-Fi in my room, though I can understand that in a rural area. The place is outside the main settlement, but frequent buses made getting around manageable, and there are restaurants and a convenience store nearby. My room was spacious, comfortable, well equipped, and had good air-con. The building itself is beautiful, with pretty much every amenity you'd reasonably need. The landlady was incredibly kind, and the service was excellent. They even offered free rides to and from the airport, which I've never had at this price. I'd definitely stay again if I return to Kinmen.

A traditional courtyard house with a warm, harmonious feel. The accommodation was perfect, and the housekeeper was very helpful. Excellent place for families, highly recommended.
The beds were clean, and the air conditioning worked really well. This is a charming little B&B, and the whole place felt clean and comfortable. I expected the toilet in an old house to be dirty, but it was spotless and had no mold. They clearly look after it carefully. I'd choose this B&B again if I get the chance. It's really great.
The price was very reasonable, and the quiet setting gave me a chance to experience local culture in Kinmen. I was especially impressed by the bathroom, which was completely free of mold. I've seen traces of mold in bathrooms at other hotels I've stayed at, so this really stood out. The room was very clean overall. The hostess was friendly and helpful, with tips about nearby sights. They also have airport transfers, and the driver who picked us up was polite and helpful. Highly recommended!
We booked Pavilion One for one night because I wanted to see the traditional Minnan architecture on my first trip to Kinmen. Before booking, the manager enthusiastically promoted their own "One, Two, and Three Pavilions" and another modern guesthouse, but my family wasn't interested in those, so we chose just one pavilion. We paid cash, as the manager said they only accepted it. We arrived around 5 PM. The manager was welcoming and helpful, explained things to us, and the air conditioning in each room had already been set. Pavilion One looked beautiful from outside, and the bathroom was a decent size. The triple room was small, with no table or chairs. In the double room there was a little kitchenette and one chair, but the TV was beside the bed, so sitting to watch it was difficult. If we needed a table, we had to use the ancestral hall. In summer there was only a fan there, no air conditioning. My family thought the room rental was quite nice, but they never expected what happened the next morning. We planned to leave at 9 AM, and our luggage was packed, but checkout wasn't until 11. The main door was open, though locked. Then three or four people with luggage suddenly came in and rushed into the ancestral hall. I was startled and thought they might be there to take photos. I told them we hadn't checked out. They said they were only dropping off their bags. I hadn't received any notice, and we hadn't said we were checking out, so I asked how another group could already be coming in. They replied that the manager was in the car behind them and would be in shortly. When the manager came in, he didn't apologize. He just repeated that they were dropping off luggage, then ignored us and got busy with the next group. My family stood there at the door, completely dumbfounded. I'd never encountered a guesthouse manager who was so disrespectful. We'd booked the whole building and checkout time hadn't arrived, and we hadn't even said we were leaving. The next guests barged in and violated our privacy. If something valuable had gone missing, who would have been responsible? Shouldn't they have contacted me first to ask if it was convenient to drop off their bags? I'd never had this happen before. Thankfully, we'd only booked one night, but it left a bad impression on the last day of our Kinmen trip. Afterwards, the housekeeper called to apologize and asked me to pass the apology on to my family. They offered to buy us souvenirs as compensation, but we politely declined and accepted only the apology. I hope this doesn't happen again.
