There are convenience stores and places to eat about a five-minute walk from the hotel, and the food was tasty, mostly Chinese dishes with a healthy feel. On our first morning there weren't any scrambled eggs, so I had to ask them to make some. The bedroom was just right, with a lovely bed and really comfortable pillows. The bathroom was spacious, the water pressure was so strong, and there was even a TV by the bathtub. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion all smelled nice and felt high quality. A 100/100 for me.

Puli is flat and easy to get around on foot, and there are plenty of dinner choices close by. We found a great fermented tofu place a block south, and there’s a FamilyMart nearby too. If you're driving an EV, the hotel has charging stations, which is handy. The rooms felt spacious and luxurious, and I loved the Toto toilet. At check-in, or while waiting in the lobby, staff offered herbal tea with honey and berries to try near the concierge desk. Breakfast had a generous mix of local specialties like water bamboo, regional mushrooms, and native ferns, plus eggs, congee, cereal, toast, croissants, and coffee. Even with two large tour groups there, the dining room stayed manageable. Food was refilled quickly, and guests heading out by 8 a.m. all seemed to have eaten well.

Traveling with our almost 8-month-old daughter went smoothly here. The hotel set up a cot, baby bath, bottle sanitiser, and baby soap, and the two single sofa chairs in our room were great for breastfeeding. The room was large, with a very comfortable bed. There was a deep bath and a relaxing shower area, and the soap and shampoo weren't overpoweringly scented. Breakfast had a wide selection and fresh ingredients, with good options for vegetarians. I'd have liked to see more Western-style food, though.

We had a great stay and would come back if we visit central Taiwan (Nantou). The staff were thoughtful and the service was fantastic. Our spacious room had a very comfortable bed, great soundproofing, a drinking water tap, and a sparkling water machine. There was both a shower and a bathtub in the bathroom, and you could watch TV while bathing. Breakfast was a fantastic buffet with lots of vegetables and local ingredients such as water bamboo shoots. Free parking on site was convenient. They also had basketball shooting machines, a Switch, and board games available for free. KTV and a pool room could be rented.

We enjoyed the hotel, though staying there during Lunar New Year made it very expensive.
