The Bal'e Villas

We got engaged at this beautiful hotel, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The pool and views around it were incredible, and every meal was mouth-wateringly delicious. Our massive room was spotless, the service was top notch, and every little detail was taken care of. One of the most incredible stays we’ve ever had. We’ll definitely be back!

The view is astonishing, and the rooms are large and comfortable. It’s a bit expensive, but I felt the stay was worth it. There’s plenty of great food to choose from, and with so few people around, it feels like home. A very nice place to visit with family, about a 45-minute drive from Taichung City.

The resort is small, private, and absolutely gorgeous, about an hour by car from Taichung. The gardens, surroundings and pool are beautiful, the rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped, the service is fantastic, and the food is delicious. A fabulous experience. 👏🫰👏 A few thoughts for the chef: the bread was a little boring and both soups were lukewarm. Plates should be cleared once everyone at the table is finished, instead of one by one, so others don’t feel rushed. A complimentary glass of wine or beer would be a great addition to such a tasty meal. The fish and duck at dinner, and steak and chicken at breakfast, were all perfectly seasoned and cooked, and seriously scrumptious. 👍

The dining was a real surprise, better than any Michelin restaurant we’ve been to. Our room was huge, and having two baths was fantastic. The staff at Bal’e were so friendly, and everyone went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Absolutely a great experience for us.
