The interior was spacious and clean, but the sleeping arrangements made a cold spell uncomfortable. The Japanese-style room had a single mattress, while the quad room had two five-foot-wide quilts. We ended up sharing one quilt with the mattress between us, and our sleep suffered a lot. Outside, the garden was deserted and unmaintained when we arrived, with fallen leaves, moss, and dirty water in the fish pond. It was truly deplorable.
