Formosa Vacation Village Homestay

The seafood hot pot set was nicely arranged and tasted great with the soup stock. There was a free flow of condiments, and limited free parking just outside the shabu shabu restaurant. On the whole, it was a pleasant meal, but the staff seemed indifferent and avoided eye contact. Better service would make this a five-star place.

I only came for the shabu shabu, haha. It was pricey, but tasted great, and the staff were friendly and easy to talk to.

The food was average, and the dining experience was really bad. Everyone had to order at least one set, whatever their age, even though we knew we couldn't finish that much. The waiter first insisted on serving the full set after we explained it would be wasted. We kept saying we didn't want to waste food and were fine paying the full price. They need to change this rule. Not everyone wants to stuff themselves, and there aren't many other options up on the mountain.

The room was spacious, recently renovated, and the most affordable one I've found so far with a heater. That heater was a lifesaver in the cold up on the mountain. Breakfast had hot porridge and side dishes, just right for us. The little decorated sitting area was lovely, too. I really liked it. Staff attitude could improve a bit, but I've already recommended the place to friends going to Taiwan.
