Junyue Resort

The mountain setting and views were great, and there’s a 7-11 less than 100 yards away. The staff were genuinely kind and helped with anything we needed. We had two rooms, though one had a window screen that had fallen out. We only noticed when we got back around 10:30 pm, and bugs were coming in, so we had to close the windows. There’s no AC, which made that room a little warm. We told the staff the next morning and they were very apologetic. A great hotel up in the mountains.

The hotpot was a lovely fit for the cool weather, and the sunrise and sunset views were amazing. This is a 3-star guesthouse with an experience that felt close to 5-star. It went well beyond what we expected.

We’d stay here again. The location is good, and the large deck and some rooms have a lovely sunrise view. The rooms are a decent size; ours was a little dated but very clean, and breakfast was decent too. Everyone from the front desk through management was friendly and accommodating. My wife has a handicap, and they did what they could to move us into a more accessible room. There’s an excellent Yunnan restaurant in the hotel just north of this one. Breakfast has a good range of options, and the staff are helpful. The hotel is surrounded by some of the area's prettiest scenery, with roomy, comfortable rooms overlooking the valley. Restaurants, coffee houses and convenience stores are close by. There aren't many other amenities, but that’s not the reason to come here.
