Qingjing Baiyun Resort

We had a really enjoyable stay here with our infant. The room was roomy, and the heated blanket was great in the chilly winter. The bathtub had both hot and cold water, too. The mountain and valley views are lovely. If you're lucky, you might see white clouds drifting over the mountains, or get a clear view all the way to the horizon. Getting up the steep slope with luggage is a challenge, and there’s no lift to the rooms. If you have heavy bags, ask for a room on the second floor like we did.

The balcony comes with a lovely view, and the room is simple. There are quite a few steps, so be ready for a climb. I'd avoid booking the cheapest option and choose a second-floor room with a bathtub. It was quiet and nice. The bus stop is about a five-minute walk away, and some buses go to Huhuan Shan for hiking. Worth staying a night here.

The view is good when the fog clears, but I think you can find a better one for less money. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you're hoping to get a good night's rest. The building feels old, and the wooden floors make it easy to hear other guests walking around or moving things. The breakfast was poor, with very few choices. If you arrive after 08:30, you may be left with only coffee. Carpets in the rooms might help reduce the noise from upstairs. Think carefully before booking.

Being close to the swiss garden made it easy to walk there, and the hotel has plenty of space, including a veranda set up for taking in the mountain scenery. Our room had a terrace with a stunning view, too. Breakfast was satisfying. We had a relaxing, fun stay surrounded by nature, and there was never a dull moment. I'd love to come back here 🥰
