The kids loved feeding the fish in the little pond, and there’s a map where guests can pin where they’re from, a small touch that really works. Our family room was simple but roomy, with double beds. Breakfast was a generous traditional spread with fresh vegetables, eggs, and even pumpkin soup. The staff were lovely and very helpful, calling to check when we’d arrive and offering to pick us up at the train station. They aren’t very fluent in English, but it was easy to communicate. There are free bikes to borrow, though ours seemed a bit old. A lovely place to get a feel for the countryside.

Breakfast is plentiful, and the family running the place really tries to make you comfortable. It’s close to town, though driving there after dark can be tricky: the lanes are narrow and there’s no street lighting. They’re good people, and during our time in Ruisui we met others who left a lasting impression on us too.

A quiet spot with plenty of room to unwind. The room was spacious and very clean, and the price was reasonable. Our hosts were warm and friendly. I’d happily recommend staying here.

The hosts were so warm and friendly, and there’s a lovely fruit farm beside the houses. Such a wonderful place, we’ll definitely come back! :)
