The hosts were friendly and chatty, and we had a great view from where we stayed. Breakfast was great too, so we’d definitely come back. Winter nights were a bit cold without a heater, but the duvets were enough to keep us warm. It would’ve been even better if they provided bath towels.

The owner was friendly and chatty, and the view seemed decent, though we got in late and left early. We booked that night because we couldn't reach dongpu lodge before its 5.30pm gate closure. The owner quoted 2000 NTD for one night, the same price for up to four people. There’s a sharp turn into the estate if you’re driving. You can park right by the cabin, and there’s a big fridge and water dispenser just outside the room. It’s close to 7-11 and reasonably close to jade mountain. There were lots of mosquitoes, and the room only had a fan, no A/C. The wifi didn’t work at all. They provided hand towels but no bath towels. Breakfast was pretty spartan for the price: three slices of white bread with butter and jam, one over hard egg, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and a choice of soy milk or instant coffee. Also, even after we paid cash, the owner initially forgot to give us the room key.

The set menu at this B&B was delicious, though it was high-priced. From the garden we could see Yushan, and the nearby village was charming. The owners were very friendly, and the accommodation was basic but excellent for a fair price.

The accommodation sits high in the mountains, with great views of Taiwan’s tallest Mountain and the surrounding countryside.
