The room theme was nice, and the soundproofing was okay, but we kept hearing strange noises from pipes and machinery. The air conditioner smelled of cigarettes even though the room was non-smoking. It was clean enough apart from dusty corners and vents, while the towels were old and musty. We tried arriving an hour early to leave our bags and ask for a few special theme rooms. Staff refused, even though some rooms were empty, and told us to come back at check-in time. They were also frustratingly rigid about breakfast delivery: we could only pick 7 or 9 a.m., even when we offered to collect it from reception. The location felt in the middle of nowhere, and movies on the TV loaded very slowly.

I booked two nights on Booking.com, then got a call from the motel days later saying we had to check out at noon each day and check in again in the evening. They said we'd owe another 4-5k TWD if we didn't. They also claimed this was stated on their Booking.com listing, which is flat-out untrue. What a joke. They seem like scammers. Do not book multiple nights.
